Wow Inuyasha really is either foolish to lie to both Kagome and himself by getting married or he is being very selfish in trying to keep Kagome for himself...... Somehow I think it is the former. He is lying to himself by hoping that marrying Kagome will somehow make him seem closer to Kikyo or that Kagome will run into Kikyo in such me fashion, as silly and as twisted as it sounds. Kinda like that old adage, if I don’t say I am pregnant out loud or to anyone then I am not really pregnant. Ha ha. Stupid I know but people do try to fool themselves in many strange ways. Of course by not consummating the marriage he knows that something is wrong. I hope Sesshomaru is able to prove to Kagome that she isn’t Kikyo’s reincarnation and helps her with her self doubt. I ways hated Lady Kaede giving everyone the id a that Kagome was Kikyo’s reincarnation. Inuyasha clung to that shard of hope like a clinging vine to a healthy stalk. Unhealthy and twisted. Kagome deserves far better than that. After all she left the comforts of home 500 years in the future to live a life without electricity, air conditioning, heating, indoor plumbing, good sanitation, good health care, family, etc. to come back to what? Someone who only wants her because she resembles a deceased love? Bah!!!

This is a wonderful story. I eagerly await the next chapter.
