finally! i've been waiting for this chapter and you delivered well! As expected, Sesshomaru and Kagome's meeting didn't go well. I'm hoping for a turn about during the ball. I certainly hope that Sesshomaru's attitude will be talen down a notch by Kagome's fortitude and sincerity. Btw, that NarakuxSesshomaru convo was a close call!

REALLY enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Some stories that are of this genre are good, don't get me wrong, but you managed to capture that cutthroat aspect of business that does run through ALL businesses, be they profit or non-profit. Definitely not fun and games.

With this first chapter you also captured WHO Kaeda was to her business and of course Kagome. By the end you knew what the characters have gone through. You also definitely had a very good case of "the feels" because you're aware of Kaeda's and Kagome's bond and commitment.

Then there is the mystery investor....

This IS going to be a very interesting read, and I'm looking forward to more!
