An unwelcome visitor appears at a hut in rural Korea, demanding an heirloom that has been long hidden away. However, it is not only the heirloom that he finds, but a girl whose musical talent he both sweetly and bitterly recognizes. With the girl's refusal to give in to the demands of the creature, her mother and father are slaughtered, and it is in Japan that she finds herself alone, property of a brothel, and the recipient of a twisted fate that spans back hundreds of years in the past.
