Kagome found it very difficult to hold her tongue after the blatant disrespect she received from that Naraku. She couldn't say that she was surprised, she really shouldn't have been at all, but it still hurt what he said.
"He isn't worth the trouble," Sesshoumaru said, low enough for her ears alone. "He is ignorant and unworthy of our attention."
She had to smile at his attitude. He really hadn't changed all that much since the last time she'd seen him. "I suppose you are right. Still, it stings sometimes."
If Sesshoumaru were anyone else, Kagome would have sworn he sighed. But this was Sesshoumaru and that was something he did not do. "If you are strong in mind, then it matters not what another thinks. A real man would not care."
"But you are not a man," she felt the need to remind him. She hadn't found a man willing to accept her larger size, had known that he wasn't out there.
Sesshoumaru stopped walking. He was tired of the opening and wanted time alone with Kagome without the risk of being interrupted. He turned Kagome toward him, catching her blue eyes with his searing golden gaze. "Your only fault was that you never believed in who you were. If you believed, things would have gone so differently for you. As long as you were healthy, the weight didn't matter."
Kagome looked down to the ground. He was right. All her meetings at the fat woman's club, all her years spent trying to find the perfect size so that she could find the perfect man, it had been for nothing.
Well, it hadn't necessarily been for nothing. She liked her current size for one very special reason. She had her energy back. She grew in her confidence, realized who she was on the inside.
"You have every right to say I told you so," she said with a teasing smile. She fully expected him to do so.
But he didn't say anything. He simply lifted her chin so he could lay a sweet kiss on her lips. "I meant what I said then," he murmured against her lips.
"I know. I wasn't ready then and I still don't know if I'm ready now, but I think, we can try if you still want to. We owe it to ourselves to know if it can still work I think."
"Then come with me tonight. Be by my side as you used to."
How could she refuse? Her best friend wanted her back by his side and one thing she knew, Sesshoumaru always got exactly what he wanted.

Sesshoumaru had his camera's ready in his downtown condo. Naraku had given him a grand idea of doing a continuation with Kagome. Those first pictures of her years ago had been the best he'd taken because they'd been natural.
These sets could be even better if she were willing to be more open with her emotions. That had been her problem before. He'd taken so few photos because she was always guarded so the trick had been to find her unguarded moments.
He set up the last of his equipment in just the spots he wanted. Hopefully over the next few months he could gain something worthy for his personal collection, if not something good for the showing.
"I see the years have been very kind to you," Kagome said from her seat on his cream colored sofa.
Sesshoumaru turned slightly to glance in her direction. She laid head back, eyes toward the skyline out his window. Her legs were curled under her body. It was the perfect opportunity to start his new set, and he took advantage of what she presented.
"Photography isn't my main job," he said with a shrug. Honestly, if he could forgo the business world he would, but it wouldn't be prudent to drop his whole life for the sake of showings he despised.
He took photos for the very reason that they were personal to him. It reminded him of cherished moments, moments meant to live in his own memory for all time.
Kagome turned toward Sesshoumaru, a slight smile on her face. "To think, once upon a time I lived in luxury like this."
Sesshoumaru leaned against the nearest wall, staring at Kagome. "I don't remember asking you to ever leave. In fact I distinctly remember asking you to stay."
Kagome returned to her view. "I couldn't stay. I think I grew too dependent on your kindness to me." She knew he was taking pictures, but she didn't care anymore.
Sesshoumaru quietly made his way to Kagome. Before Kagome knew what happened she found her back planted against the seat cushions, a demon lord firmly planted between her thighs.
"Is it because I was your first?" he asked. Kagome stared deeply into his eyes. She shook her head.
But it was for that reason. Sesshoumaru had given her the one thing she desperately needed at the time, the knowledge that she could be loved. He'd taken her virginity when no other male even looked at her. The thought had always been in the back of her mind that he'd been disgusted by her body. So she had taken the only option available to the scared girl inside of her, she ran.
"Kiss me," he demanded.
She lifted up to kiss his lips, never knowing that he continued to take pictures of her with him. She felt his tongue brush her lips, bringing pleasure she hadn't felt in a very long time.
She opened for him, tasting his tongue. It wasn't him who shifted their hips together. It was her taking her pleasure from him. He concentrated on finding the perfect moments, when she was honest in her expressions.
His chance came with her first climax, just from grinding against him. His serious expression greeted her when she opened her eyes. "Move back in with me," he said.

Eight Years Ago
"Move in with me Kagome," Sesshoumaru said, his smooth features calm as he studied Kagome's packed bags.
She was supposed to move in with Inuyasha, but the hanyou had decided he wanted to live with Yura, the slut of the school. Poor Kagome had come home to find all the things she'd moved in moved right back out.
Tears streamed down her eyes. He rejected her again. Every time she tried to give him a chance he rejected her feelings. It was because she was fat, she knew. Sesshoumaru knew it too. Inuyasha wanted someone he was attracted to, someone he wanted to fuck.
She hadn't known what to do. It had only been by luck that Sesshoumaru arrived on the scene to catch sight of her standing in the hallway, tears streaming down her eyes as she once again faced rejection.
Kagome never answered Sesshoumaru, so he simply picked up her things to take to his condo where she was coming to live. He had offered her a place with him before, but she hadn't taken it. Now she had no choice.

"I don't know," Kagome said quietly. He'd yet to move from between her legs and she felt a bit embarrassed about her shameless behavior from before. "Is it right that I should come live you after all this time?"
"It doesn't matter what others think. What do you want?" he smirked suddenly, "That has always been one of your problems. You worry what others will say, what they think. I say who cares? I want you here."
Kagome bit her lips nervously. Could she honestly bare the thought of living with Sesshoumaru once more after all they'd been through years ago? Would he honestly say that it didn't matter to him, any of it? Had he really been honest before?
She was tired of always second guessing herself. In college she could never be honest about her feelings for him because she hadn't believed his feelings. For once, she thought, she had to do something for her.
Sesshoumaru had risen as he watched the expressions on her face. He'd taken random photos knowing that she thought out her decision. He had no doubt that she would come to live with him. She could do nothing else. It was what she wanted, what she craved.
Finally she opened her blue eyes, taking in his appearance with a camera. She laughed. "I suppose the standard rules apply then?" He nodded.
It was simple. She would live with him rent free as long as he was able to take any picture of her he wanted. She'd basically be giving her life over to him, allowing him everything he demanded. She knew he would respect her privacy. If he so happened to take those sort of pictures they'd go only in his private collection, never to be viewed by anyone else.
"I'll move in," she murmured to him. It was what she wanted to do.

For several months now Kagome lived peacefully with Sesshoumaru, never knowing when he took photos of her in all of their dealings. It was stranger for her this time around, knowing what he expected of her.
Her consolation was that he did not treat her like an art subject. They were still as friendly as they'd always been, this time without his need to build up her self esteem over the way she looked.
She'd thought it would take her a while to want to be intimate with Sesshoumaru again, but somehow it hadn't taken long at all. Most nights she spent in his bed with him. Sometimes all they did was cuddle, sometimes more. It depended on the mood.
Sesshoumaru's art exhibit drew an incredible crowd of followers, mostly larger women who were glad to be represented in the art world. Many offered to be models for his next exhibit, not that Sesshoumaru contemplated it.
All of his photos were so spectacular because they weren't practiced. He feared that too many would want to force the issue by faking the moments he caught on camera.
The only down side to her living with Sesshoumaru was that he'd invited her to dinner with his family. She'd gone as a favor to him, but also knowing that Inuyasha would be there.
It was amazing the difference her weight loss made to the half demon. He'd been drooling over her that night, making innuendos that he wanted to get together. For some reason it had pissed Kagome off greatly.
There was a knock on the door. Kagome set down the book she'd been reading while Sesshoumaru fixed one of his damaged cameras. She glanced to where her friend sat, pieces from the broken camera around him on the dining room table.
"Do you want me to get the door?" she asked. He glanced in the direction of the door, scenting the air. He shook his head.
"It's only Inuyasha." Kagome smiled slightly knowing what that meant. Sesshoumaru had no intention of allowing his brother inside his home.
Kagome returned to her reading, surprised by her lack of fluttering heart at the thought of Inuyasha. She had been in love with him for a great many years while she'd been heavier.
"Sesshoumaru," she asked quietly.
He glanced up from his work, taking in her confused expression and contemplating the meaning. "What is it Kagome? What's wrong?"
She turned her eyes to the door where Inuyasha continued banging. Sesshoumaru reached for a working camera, snapping multiple photos of Kagome. She was so beautiful when she showed her emotions for him.
"I'm not in love with Inuyasha. I don't know why?"
Just as she turned to look at him, Sesshoumaru snapped another photo of her. She smiled suddenly, nearly taking his breath away. He lowered his camera at a realization. He knew then what he'd always suspected. He loved Kagome.
His eyes shifted suddenly to the door. "Maybe it's because you never really loved him," he finally suggested. Inuyasha had stopped banging on the door, but now had been spouting profanity.
She rose from her seat, feeling the sudden need to be beside Sesshoumaru. He was probably right. Inuyasha had been safe for her because he didn't want her and validated her reason to hate herself at the time.
"But you've always loved me haven't you?" she asked Sesshoumaru. His eyes bore holes through her soul, searing her with his sudden heat. "It was why you always protected me and I never believed you." She shouldn't have been surprised that Sesshoumaru always cared for her.
He'd been her knight in shining armor always.
Tears fell from her eyes, tears she hadn't cried since that night she'd given the demon before her the precious gift of her virginity.
She straddled his lap, encircling him in her arms. "I want to be with you Sesshoumaru," she said, "I can finally admit it. But I want us to take our time. I want us to truly believe we can make this work."
Sesshoumaru gave his trademark smirk. "Why do you think I allowed you to move in here?"

Most likely there will only be one more chapter after this one. I put it up much too early for my liking without thinking about it, when I knew it was more of snippet kind of piece, but I did it anyway. We'll see what happens.
