Waking eyes devoid of lifetimes past,

In the forgotten hours of breath and love,

Propose a void in time and memory.

A tribute of guilty innocence before us.

Banish lingering memoirs of a soul,

And wipe away our ancient sins.

Time calls to mortal sins,

Creating the future-the past-

Naught more then a kiss upon your soul.

Undented by the touch of love,

Untouched by the word, "us,"

No gain to be had in a lost memory.

Only sorrow born of a cherished memory,

Only joy begotten of sins,

Only an empty pity for us.

For those who recall the unwanted past.

For those who have forgotten love;

Nothing is left but a calloused soul.

Ill-favored paramours forget the soul,

Knowing it is not worth a memory.

They are thankful for the lack of love;

Wise to know such ardor creates only sins.

Better to leave them in the past-

To have never understood the term-us.

Remembrance will destroy us,

bring only damage to the soul
