'Is this normal?' She thought, staring at her best friend, Eri. Eri was talking on about wedding plans and laughing at something. Kagome wasn't fully listening at the moment.
Yuka stared at Kagome, seeing she was in a deep thought. She gently put her hand on her arm and gave her a friendly squeeze. They were in the Cafe which was in downtown Tokyo. It was small and somewhat homey'.
Kagome was interrupted by Yuka, who just smiled at her. Kagome nodded. Eri finished talking, finally.
Ayumi was also sharing her life. College at Tokyo University was apparently a big deal.
'So this is what it is like...'
She sipped on her coffee, a smile on her face. But inside, she felt torn.
"So what's new with you, Kagome?" Yuka asked, concerned for her friend.
The miko felt like she had a spot light pointed at her, as all of her friends stilled and stopped talking.
"Well,"She started, taking a breath, "I've been really busy with the Shrine and taking classes at the Community College."
'Oh you know, just training as a Miko.... Same old same guys!'
Eri smiled at her, looking at her with a sad smile. "Don't you ever get bored? I know, seriously, the perfect thing for you to try!"
Ayumi held back her laughter from her "I'm so much wiser than you" best friend, Eri.
"Okay! Kagome does not need to try Yoga, Eri!"
The girls all laughed, including Kagome. The conversation had ended, or so she thought. Again, all eyes looked at her as if they were searching for the girl who had become a shell.
"I actually meditate a lot, but thanks for the suggestion."
"Yoga is not just meditation, Kagome! It's a lifestyle." Eri arugued.
