A/N: Response to the DDN of June 2014! This was so much fun to write. Sometimes I wish they were more than 100 words, but then again that is what the challenge is about, even if it do fail miserably each time. LOL
Thank you again MissKatt for hosting and for such a fitting DDN! haha
edit: I was writing 'prink' but for some reason I think my word document was autocorrecting. Sorry for the confusion! Thank you for the explanation of what a prick and prink are, annoymous...

Prompt 1: Lurk
…
…
He was so handsome…
Kagome blinked a few times, gripping the pieces of warm paper fresh off the copier tightly to her chest. Her flats slid across the carpet, as she pretended to remain busy near the obnoxiously loud machine. Her blue eyes lifted, looking through her thick lashes. He was so handsome, no beautiful really, the young son of Inutaisho Dai, Sesshomaru. The man had just obtained heightened power of their major distribution company, Dai Industries and just recently begun exercising his power. Her fingers fumbled with papers as she continued to lurk.
A sharp pain rippled across her finger. She gasped.
Blood…
“Damn, paper.” She lowered her gaze away from the man for just a moment to observe her wounded finger.

Prompt 2: Sneaky
…
…
Placing her finger between her lips, Kagome sucked softly. She finally decided to leave her post near the machine, for a line began to build and the longer she lingered the more disgruntled the group became because space was minimal. Pushing her raven locks behind her ear, she glanced in his direction again. Was that an Armani suit? There he stood, calm, strong and spoke sternly, gosh was a voice. Keeping her chin high, she tried to be sneaky and shuffled through the rowed plants to get a better look at that porcelain face.
Amber, pure and rich…
He met her curious gaze and at that particular moment the air escaped her lungs and butterflies began to form in the pit of her stomach.
“Kagome!”

Prompt 3: Highlight
…
…
A hard yank and Kagome was stumbling forward, trying desperately to catch her footing, “Rina,” she whispered.
Those wide brown eyes flashed with excitement, “I am guessing you saw!?” Her straight teeth were tightly clenched as a grin formed on her lips, “This is the highlight of my day, Kags. My god, look at him! He has a nice butt too.” She winked.
A soft blush formed across her cheeks, as she stammered to speak, “Oh…my…gosh,” Rina whispered, gripping the material near her friend’s wrist.
“What?” Kagome’s eyes widened.
“He is coming,” Her smile had vanished.
“He is coming?”

Prompt 4: Copy
…
…
Kagome’s breathing ceased as she felt the blood drain from her face. Tightening her hold on the copy paper, she licked her dry lips and glanced up slowly as the footsteps approaching came to a halt.
“Excuse me,” His deep voice beckoned her, causing her blue eyes to lift in his direction.
An awkward smile, followed by a quick bow, “Yes sir?” Kagome, surprisingly, allowed to escape her lips, “H-how can I help you?”
Rina’s eyes shifted back and forth.
The heir’s eyes traveled the length of her body, arching a brow with interest. Rubbing his lips together, Sesshomaru finally spoke, “So glad you speak the language,” He pointed an index finger, “We need fresh water in the conference room, quickly.” He snapped his fingers.

Prompt 5: Post
…
…
Gripping the wooden post, Kagome propelled herself up the stairs. Her breathing was erratic and her heart felt like it was about to beat out of her chest.
Panting behind her, Rina tried to claw at the back of her skirt, “Stop walking to fast,” her colleague whined, “Ka-kagome!”
“No, I am not going back there, that jerk. I am not a servant. I’m glad you speak the- what a loser!” She shrieked, throwing open the door a door to an office occupied by the one who requested the copies in her hands. With a harsh toss, Kagome thrust the white, printed paper in the face of the gentleman on the phone, “Next time you get them!”
Rina held up her hand and apologized for her friend who had once again disappeared.

Prompt 6: Exposed
…
…
Sitting on the curb waiting for the bus, Kagome sat with her face in her palms, completely modified on how she was escorted out, and then fired. She had insulted a superior, threw papers at someone who was, technically, higher in status, but that wasn’t all.
She had called that dunderhead ‘a prick’ within earshot, resulting in management, well, putting her where she sat now. Exposed and feeling utterly useless she swiped away her tears.
“Maybe if you beg they will let you back?” Rina shrugged.
“Oh yeah, ‘Please Mister Dai, allow me to come back even though I called you a prick,” She drawled sarcastically.
“That is a start,” the silver haired man replied to her comment, as he approached.
Wide eyed, Kagome glanced over her shoulder, “Oh dear lord,” she groaned.

Prompt 7: Denial
…
…
“Is that how you treat all of your employees?” Kagome asked, narrowing her angry blue eyes in his direction.
“Is that how you speak to all of your superiors? To most people that fiery anger of yours could be associated with a serious problem,” Sesshomaru’s golden eyes narrowed as he slipped his hands in his pockets.
Kagome jumped up and pursed her lips, “I do not have a problem.”
“There is such a thing called ‘denial’,” He responded, keeping his emotions under lock-and-key.
“Look, I have left your business, why not leave me alone so I can wallow in my own sorrows as I wait for the bus,” the raven haired woman paused, “Prick,” she spat.
A subtle grin formed near the corner of his perfect lips.

Prompt 8: Report
…
…
Kagome said her good-byes to Rina, who hesitantly left and then made her way down the street away from the culprit of her current life crisis. Angrily, she glanced over her shoulder, narrowing her blue eyes at him as she crossed her arms over her chest. ---
“I have the final say in this matter,” His voice drifted over her ears. ---
“Leave me alone,” a harsh tone caught him off guard.---
“Look, this got out of hand. I believe a simple misunderstanding,” His hands extended with a small shrug. ---
“I’ll..I’ll report you to the authorities,” She finally snapped. ---
A grin formed on his lips, followed by a chuckle, “Relax,”---
“I don’t want it,”---
“huh?”---
“The job, I don’t want it anymore.” Kagome pursed her lips, pleasantly surprised by his look of shock.

Prompt 9: Banned
…
…
Honestly, Kagome was shocked that this man hadn’t banned her from his sight, to be completely honest. She had called him all sorts of names, purposely doing so while those working under him watched. Now, he was asking her to come back and work for him? Was this man completely insane? Obviously!
“You are one of those sickos aren’t you?” She said, allowing her eyes to roam his figure.
Growing tired of his ‘game’, Sesshomaru sucked in a slow breath and flexed his legs, “I will ask one last time, will you come back or no?”
That moment, she thought long and hard. Was it worth it? This job, this terrible job, was it worth minimum wage?
“No,” She said harshly, turned on her heal and walked away and what do you know, here came the bus.

Prompt 10: Justice---
…
…
It had been weeks since she had lost her job. Kagome felt silly about the whole thing, but what was she going to do? She had assumed she was doing justice to herself in telling that man off. I mean, how dare he, right? She sighed dramatically. Most of her time was spent in coffee shops, circling job articles in hopes that something would turn out for her.---
Blowing on her hot coffee, she inhaled the bitter sweet scent of her coffee, releasing a slow breath.---
“Come on phone call, rent won’t pay itself,” She whispered, tapping the screen of her phone.---
The chair before her was slowly pulled out, and in sat a well-dressed business man with a smug grin on his lips. He leaned over while setting down his own hot coffee, “Well, hello…” He said softly, skimming the sheet for a name, “Kagome.”---
Kagome’s blue eyes widened, snatching the papers away from him, “Hello to you too,” Her eyes skimmed over his multi-thousand dollar suit, “Mr. Prick,” with that he chuckled, which she followed with a blush.
