A/N: Just thought I'd try my hand at writing something dark. There's a first time for everything thing, but I'm sure comedy will sneak its way in here as well. Title-wise, is anyone a fan of pig Latin? And also this story takes place post-Naraku so as a warning now some characters will appear a bit OOC at first. :3

Behind the silver sakura hand fan plump cherry lips coiled slowly. Their owner held her breath in anticipation as a particular scent grew ever near. Her mind danced in wild ecstasy as it counted down the final moments. Within just a few seconds his presence would mark the completion of her picture.
Seven.
The ground was blanketed in a brilliant new fresh layer of fallen snow.

The river that curlicues south was perfectly frozen over with an icy blue glow.
Five.
Stones that dotted the water’s glacial track gave off a lustrous hue of black and brown.
Four.
Game half hidden within the thicket posed elegantly in fear when the wind died down.
Three.
The naked timber that dotted the area housed a cardinal or two and a few jays.

The Daystar’s perch in the sky coated everything with its bright and golden rays.

The subject matter had finally emerged in the form her beloved lord. He was still battered from last night's fun but the newfound freedom drove him forward.
Her lemon colored irises danced while she watched him struggle through the slippery slopes. Painted eyelids fluttered up and down. The sigh she released was slow and gratifying. The aperture before her featured a winter wonderland portrait. His dark silhouette contrasted with the light and moved freely while the rest of the world held still.
“Breathtaking,” she breathed out. Her mind rolled around various possibilities of what to do next with her prey. She was about to settle on a decision when a couple of hard knocks sounded from behind. The fan in her hand snapped shut. Her nose peaked out of the window once more. She took in one last desperate whiff of his musk before the chilling wind wiped the rest of his scent clean away. The love of her life had made it out of her sight. Their game of cat and mouse was finally in play.
The door to the room suddenly opened. An ashen haired male dressed in black entered the room and bowed. “Milady.”
Rin turned around and smiled. “Red! To what to do we owe the pleasure?”
“Rumors have been floating. But perhaps there lay some truth to the whispering walls after all.”
A sour scowl briefly marked her face. In an instant she had her back to him. “We have no idea to what you are referring”
His umber eyes narrowed. “You’re up to something and we both know it. It’ll only be a matter of time before I find out and put it to an end.”
Her lips began to pout. “You never allow us any fun. Your brother is by far more lenient with our shenanigans.”
“That’s because unlike me he is a fan of your work.”
“Yes-yes, well speaking of work we’ve decided to dabble our hands in art today. The picture came out perfect. It was a magnificent sight to behold.”
“Art? Is that what you’ve truly been up to? All day? In here?” Red blinked several times when she nodded. Not a single piece of medium or tapestry was to be found. “Forgive me for being so bold, Milady, but your canvas appears to be missing.”
Rin waved him off and giggled. “Nonsense. The window’s edges hold its frame.”
His head slowly drifted towards the stone lined hole. The sight he was greeted with put him at awe. “Mother nature’s cold season is absolutely stunning and is definitely a work of art…but I hardly doubt even you can take credit for something like that.”
“Clearly. Is there anything else you need from us?”
“N-no…”
“Then you’re dismissed.”
Her gaze slanted his way until he was gone before returning back to her portrait. Its subject was nowhere to be seen but that didn’t stop the smirk that graced her face.
“Life has gotten a bit dull, koi. So, for now…Rin allows you to run.”
