Dressed in a simple yet lavish kimono, Kagome stood on the sidelines as she watched the two males stand a few feet apart, facing each other with swords drawn with deadly intent. Staring at Sesshomaru’s face, her heart clenched. She cared so much for him, and she doubted he felt the same. There was no way he couldn’t know how she felt about him, but it seemed he doubted that as well since he seemed to think she’d accept Akahito’s advances.
Just thinking about the other lord had her clenching her fists. What he’d almost done to her was reprehensible.
