The Shikon's Wish
Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha or the canon plot. I own the OCs and the Alternate plot.
It was said that once the shikon no tama was completed someone would have to make a wish on it, but what if the jewel made the wish. After the "defeat of Naraku. Canon with Alternate qualities.

Only the Beginning
Kagome set off for the field at a mad dash. She was the last person to arrive to the final battle with Naraku. The despicable Hanyou was at the far-end of the deceptively bright clearing. Flowers littered the bed of grass, Kagome almost laughed. For a final battle ground Naraku had chosen a chipper place. She looked around briefly, wondering absently when Snow White was going to pop into the area singing for her prince. Her eyes scanned the field and landed on the piece of trash they were all here for. As per usual he was surrounded by hordes of lower class Youkai and his own “children” as protection… Absolutely Disgusting!
Nobody had stepped forward and started the fight so Kagome decided she would have to; she took a single step towards the demons and froze. Her body began to lift into the air and Naraku seemed to be dragged along. He was suspended by his torso in midair when all at once Naraku screamed, the jewel tore from his body and flew toward Kagome, and the fight began with Naraku in the center of it all… Dead and decaying.
As the Shikon no Tama came within her reach Kagome placed a single finger on the completed jewel. It began to glow a blinding pink before all the demons and hanyou were killed on Naraku’s side. Once the light had faded four sets of eyes looked around in astonishment. A fifth pair stared at the scene in complete boredom. Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and Kirara glared at the disintegrated flesh of Inuyasha. They should have known the bastard was on his side. At once ten eyes turned to the sky, looking for a miko that was no longer there. Both Kagome and the jewel were gone. The only question was… Gone Where?
Inside the heavens
Kagome looked around herself in fear and awe. The jewel was nowhere in sight, but neither were her friends. Kagome glanced once more and just knew that she was in the presence of holy beings. But where was the JEWEL?!
Four pairs of eyes looked out at the girl in their midst. She was unable to see them, but they could see and hear her every thought. They were surprised she was concerned about the whereabouts of the jewel. Deciding to enlighten her, the four beings known as kami, stepped into her field of vision. The human girl gasped in shock before hurling herself to the floor. One of the Kami stepped forward and grasped her arms, helping the shell-shocked girl to her feet. Sit. The command came from them all and entered her mind. She jumped before sitting down with a speed uncommon for a human.
Kagome glared at her feet. They weren’t supposed to move so fast. She was human. She should move slowly like all humans did. The wraith-like beings floated to seats next to her and made themselves comfortable. She glanced at each of the four and had to fight a shiver. Higurashi Kagome, you have made us exceedingly proud during your quest for the Shikon. You are aware that there was to be a reward for completing the jewel. Kagome nodded her head and opened her mouth to speak. The Kami continued like she hadn’t done anything. There will be no wish. Kagome blinked once. Twice… Three times. There was no wish. What happed to it? She looked at the Kami with a clear question in her clear cerulean eyes. There is no wish, because the jewel has made a wish of its own. The jewel has asked that you be given anything you need to be happy. Kagome looked at her hands. The jewel made a wish. For her. Not only had the jewel made a wish, but its wish had been for her happiness. Her eyes began to tear up and she blinked rapidly to remove the tears. This was just too much. We have accepted the wish of the jewel and have set to work on our plans. We will speak to you soon, Higurashi Kagome.
Kagome blinked and saw she was surrounded by carcasses. A crimson fire rat Haori caught her attention and with a cry she ran for the piece of cloth. Inuyasha lay, barely recognizable as himself, next to the square of material. Shippo saw her and came running. Before he reached her however she tilted her head back and screamed.
