Disclaimer: Though it saddens me to say it, I don’t own anything relating to Takahashi-sensei’s Inuyasha. However, the plot and/or ideas of this drabble series do belong to me, and a nod of recognition goes to the creator of this challenge.
A/N: None. :) Update 1 of 8.
Chapter 136: Facsimile
“That woman shot him with her arrow.” Kagome felt a tear slip down her cheek, ignoring Sesshoumaru’s curious look. Sniffling softly, she wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. “Sorry. I always get emotional at this part.”
“For the half-demon?”
“Most people think his jealousy caused his death and some–including my grandfather–even go as far as to say that he deserved it. But Muramasa was my hero. He had tried to do the right thing.”
Sesshoumaru had no words for that. “And the miko and her lover?”
“Onigumo stabbed her in the back… Literally.”

A/N: Long story short, after Muramasa (Inuyasha) was purified and Kikyou mortally wounded, Onigumo (the human) tried to make off with the Shikon but was apprehended by little Kaede and her team of henchmen a.k.a. farmers/village men. And then the Jewel was burned with Kikyou after she died. The end… Sort of. ;)
