Disclaimer: Though it saddens me to say it, I don’t own anything relating to Takahashi-sensei’s Inuyasha. However, the plot and/or ideas of this drabble series do belong to me.
A/N: Um… Are there any happy campers out there? ;) Update 1 of 2.
Chapter 30: Phantom
Sesshoumaru was too frozen–too stunned–to do anything but stare at the woman before him.
Eyes the color of sapphire gems held him fast. They were like the tides of the ocean, shimmering and alight with the glow of the sun. The sight alone was almost too blinding, and before he knew it, he’d been drawn into their depths–into the pools that swirled with emotions that even he, at times, couldn’t decipher.
“Kagome,” he breathed at last, afraid to utter anything else in case this was only a dream, and thus, a sick figment of his imagination. It was like a wild fantasy had come to life.
“Maru-kun,” she greeted him, appearing worried. “What’s wrong? You look like you’ve just seen a ghost.”
