Prompt: Ebullience (high spirits; exhilaration, exuberance)
“Will you two just knock it off?” Shippo said, finally speaking up. Their goal was to get home asap. Everyone was in high spirits, hopeful that there would be a way to get home. Sesshomaru mentioned the Alexandrite stone but Kagome looked doubtful. That wasn’t good. Of course they all trusted her.
The way they had all been thrown down the well…they never would’ve imagined…but Kikyo and other demons had been with Naraku. There were many others waiting for them on the other side. They all had to lay low in the future for now. It was starting to irk them.
“I just…” Kagome started in deep thought. She was ignoring the brothers glaring at each other as she stood between them to avoid conflict. “….I need to go to the well for a second.” She said. She felt a hand on her shoulder, turned to see amber eyes that spoke volumes to her.
Some coughed and some didn’t know what the hell was going on.
