“Crunch, Crunch, Crunch.” The sound filled the quiet bedroom. Then it stopped.

Sesshoumaru woke up; scanning the room he saw nothing unordinary. Settling back down he tried to fall asleep.

“Crunch…cr..uuun..ch”

He heard it again. Rolling over he waited until he heard it again.

“Cru…”

“Kagome, what are you doing?”

“…nch.” She swallowed. “Nothing.”

He sat up and stared at her covered form.

“Are you eating in the bed?”

Pulling the covers from down from over her face, she looked at him aghast at his accusation, “NO! How dare you even…”

He ripped the warm blankets off.

“…I can explain.”
