AN: A new storie that just sorta popped into my head. It may update sporatically since this is a chapter story.
Chapter 1- Little Bird
Kagome couldn’t believe her rotten luck. Not only was she truly utterly helplessly lost but she felt horribly sick and she was bleeding everywhere.
The group had been fighting Naraku’s newest creation when she was tossed away from the field where they were fighting. She didn’t think it was a big deal 'til some crazed youkai decided to attack her.
~Flash back~
Kagome stood up and brushed the leaves from her hair. The sounds of battle echoed around her from the field nearby. She turned ready to run back and help her friends when a twig snapped off to her left. She whipped around searching the darkness around her for anything. She flared her aura in search of anything but found nothing. However, her gut told her something was definitely there.
She slowly backed towards the directions she wished to go keeping her eyes fixed on the direction the twig snap had been. She stiffened when a warm breath fanned across her neck and something warm dripped onto her shoulder.
Screeching she bolted blindly into the forest. Nothing but pure adrenaline drove her, her mind focusing on one thought-escape. She knew not what hunted her but she could hear it brushing by the undergrowth and low hanging branches.
Kagome stumbled on a root twisting her ankle and falling, scraping her hands and knees on the hard ground. Wincing she jumped to her feet and began to limb away. She felt something knock into her back causing her to lose her balance and fall into a tree.
Her lungs burned with each breath and her ankle throbbed. Slowly she pushed herself up onto her elbows and rolled over to see what was chasing her. At first she didn’t see anything but then it seemed to materialize out of the shifting shadows of the forest.
Its sleek black body stalked out of the darkness and its red eyes focused on her.
“My my looks like my little bird can’t fly anymore.” It said in a smooth deep voice as it circled her.
“What do you want?!” Kagome shouted trying to suppress her fear.
The creature appeared in front of her, so close she could see the faint silver dapples across its fur. Its pink nose almost touched hers.
“I wish to know what a miko tastes like.” It said lying down on her, its weight crushing her small body.
“GET OFF! YOU’RE CRUSHING ME, YOU STUPID CAT!” She screamed feeling her powers rise. The Cat hissed and jumped off her and into the tree above them. Kagome took the opportunity to make a getaway. She stood and ran lopsidedly through the foliage.
Vines grabbed and tangled at her feet and thorny branches snagged her skin but she kept going. She could feel it, right behind her. She shrieked as claws ripped into her back as the giant cat pounced on her. Her body rolled with the cats until they stopped in a small clearing. Kagome lay prone on the ground, the large cat looming over her. Kagome’s shirt was torn from the cat’s claws and various thorny plants so that her shoulders and back were exposed to the feline. It dipped its head and purred as it gently licked the blood from her skin. Its tongue grated against her flesh like sandpaper.
“Mmm, priestess you taste extraordinary.” It said as its voice slowly changed to something less animalistic. Kagome kept her eye clenched shut as the weight on her back shifted and lessened tremendously. She couldn’t feel fur anymore and thought maybe the cat had removed its deadly paws from her back.
Something touched her face and her eyes shot open. A man’s face stared at her, his nose touching hers. He had brilliant crimson eyes and jet black hair, as well as black markings on his face. She noticed that he was leaning over her to see her face from his seat on her back. Kagome opened her mouth to say something but was silenced as he pulled his face away and snarled.
“There is no need to speak, little bird. You led me on a merry chase but I have caught you.” She felt something wet trail alone the lacerations in her back. She whimpered and the youkai purred. She tried raising her powers but razor sharp claws grazed her delicate skin in warning.
“My friends will come looking for me. They will kill you.” Kagome warned thinking of how Inuyasha would react to the male touching her.
“We are very far from your little flock.” He dismissed, continuing his licking.
Feeling her anger rise at the youkai’s sitting on her back, she bucked wildly effectively flinging the cat from her. The male hissed as she crawled away from him. He grabbed her twisted ankle and she yelped as pain shot up her body. But she surprised him by attacking him with her little fists and dull claws.
He simply pinned her down and licked her neck sensually before rocking back on his heels and bringing her against his chest.
“Why don’t you just kill me? It’s rude to play with your food.” Kagome spat as he rubbed his cheek on the top of her head.
“My silly bird, I don’t wish to eat you. You offer much better pleasurrress.” He purred
Kagome stiffen for what felt like the millionth time. Her brain began to understand his animalistic behavior - the licking and the rubbing. She had tried fighting him off and it had little effect maybe even made her situation worse, she should try a different tactic.
“Mr. Cat-sama, my friends really need me so if you could please let me go I’d really appreciate it. I also would be lousy at whatever exactly it is you want.” Kagome said nervously as his hands found the edges of his clothing and caressed her skin. Her breath caught in her throat at the softness of his hands. She bit her lip painfully when his hand brushed over her breast.
He breathed in deeply and leaned forward till her back was against the ground. She winced as twigs and leaves prodded her open wounds. Painful prickling brought her back to the problem at hand. The cat’s claws were piercing her flesh leaving small blood trails on her tanned skin.
“Please.” She begged.
“Little birds don’t beg and plus I caught you so your mine now.” He said in a throaty purr. He grazed his fangs over her neck and she shuddered under him. “Your body betrays you, little one.” He said pulling the front of her torn shirt down to expose her breasts.
Kagome blushed and pushed his hands away. “Stop that!” She managed to hiss at him.
His crimson eyes sparkled and he made a strange chirping noise at her that she had heard her cat make but couldn’t remember what it signified. He rubbed against her and she felt something hard press against her thigh and she knew he didn’t carry a sword.
The cat snarled suddenly startling Kagome from her thoughts. She looked at him and noticed his dilated pupils stared into the forest. She felt something brush against her senses for the briefest moment before disappearing, someone was out there. The cat growled low in his throat before dragging his tongue across Kagome’s exposed chest and without warning violently bit into her tender flesh above her right breast, growling the entire time.
“OW! That hurt you ASS!” She said pummeling the cat with her tiny fists. He paid her no mind but stared at the trees, blood dripping down his chin and dropping on her face. Kagome was about to scream at him again when she was swiftly picked up and the world around her flew by in a blur. She was plopped down on a mossy stream bank before the cat disappeared in a flash back the way they had came. And that is how she found herself lost, bleeding, and sicker than a dog.
~End Flashback~
Kagome threw a rock into the small stream. Everything hurt and without a doubt the smell of blood was going to bring her trouble. Her ankle was painfully swollen and she didn’t want to know what her back looked like not to mention the nasty bite on her chest. This just wasn’t her day.
She sighed wearily as fatigue and blood lose slowly claimed her mind. She eyes slowly slid shut and she rested on her side.
“I’m going to kill that stupid cat…” She said falling into a deep sleep.
