Calling
Sesshoumaru was never surprised. However, for the first time in over half a century, Tessaiga called to its master. Similarly, Tenseiga called to him. He understood, but he refused to touch it. It had failed when trying to revive Inuyasha, and he hadn’t held it since.
Tessaiga was a different matter. It seemed impossible that the sword would awaken from its coma before Inuyasha. His eyes widened fractionally and then narrowed.
His hand reached out to grasp the hilt and waited. The power receded immediately.
Turning on his heel, he left.
The sword was no more useful than its master.
