Containment
Naraku’s youki engulfed her. The others had been too busy to realize what was happening until it was already too late. Sesshoumaru, true to his word, was closest and tried to reach her, but the clash of youki and reiki was too much for him. Eyes wide, he could do nothing but watch with horrified fascination.
Kagome wasted no time; she had only seconds to succeed. Before Naraku could understand her intentions she was already calling the power to her as she had only once before.
Without a second thought she let it flourish and the jewel answered her call.
