Hysterics

“Where is she? Where’s Sango?” Kagome screeched.

“I’m right here Kagome. What’s wrong?”

I don’t understand. I thought I was done. A life for a life. That was the price I had to pay to save Inuyasha. And yet here everyone is.

Inuyasha backed away uncomfortably. “I told you assholes not to get too close to Naraku’s miasma. She’s lost it.”

“Osuwari!”

The familiar thunk of Inuyasha’s body being slammed into the ground was music to her ears. “He’s still alive. Naraku- everyone.”

“Keh. ‘Course we are stupid.”

Miroku mumbled an agreement with Inuyasha about miasma.

Kagome’s hysterical laughter continued.
