Just Once
Kagome’s tear stained sapphire met Sesshoumaru’s furious gold. “You brought me back.” She sounded as shocked as he felt.
Sesshoumaru didn’t know what to think anymore. He was delving deeper into uncharted territory. A place he never wanted to go… even more so with a human.
“Hnn.”
He tried to back away from her. Her shaky fingers grasped his sleeve, and this time, he didn’t shake her off.
“I thought I was done. Why did you try to save me.”
Sesshoumaru couldn’t look at her. Watching the moisture gather around her eyes once more.
He reached for her.
Just once.
