Her heart beat quickly. Wild eyes. Deadly fangs hovering over her, hungering for her, haunting only her. Her lungs sore. Throat raw and weak, and guttural. No words  would come, not a name, nor plea only reverberating revelries. Her body fevered. Hot, thirsty, sticky. Each ache was delirium. Sending her into a haze of non existence. No earth beneath her, no sky above, it was a freefall of feeling. Tapered claws blazed across her  chest, her arms, her hips. Dulled by thin and torn  fabric.  The tangy smell of sweat and iron  mingled and choked her of  words. And then he was breathing  for her. A deep smothering kiss. Pale lips pressed to hers, mingling his airs, donating his presence.

And she cried, because there were no words for her anger, for her love,  for her pleasure that she could express to the man  who held her against him, and made her feel worthy. Of all those in the world she was his wholly, he found her more than notable, he found her original, irreplaceable, and priceless.  Sesshoumaru, her eyes cried where her voice failed and he responded to her call, kissing her more and more until she was no longer uncertain, no longer fearful. Until she knew he wanted only his Kagome. It could only be her.

This was not the time to be suave, and rakish. There was no acting that would make this better for them both. So he held her and pleased her until her mind could not work. He wouldn’t let her dwell, wouldn’t let those raw sad, anguished, memories flood her mind .  His tongue laved over her dirtied wounds, wetting blood crusted skin.  She needed to forget, to remember life not death before she fell to her grief. Her world was shattered, mother, brother, grandfather all gone and dead. Her heart was bleeding and he was stemming the flow as he gave her  himself, his touch, his distraction.  Remember life, remember to live he pleaded hovering above her, veiling her in soft silver.

He would not lose her to herself, this was a battle he would win. No matter how long the war took he would not cease his fight for her. And for them.

She was so lost and unable to think. Her heart was swollen and tender and ready to break under the pressure. Her aura reached out and screamed into the night, tinting the air in a gradient of blue, purples and pinks with twilight specks of light, the stars, creating a tapestry.

He suckled her pain,   creating a pinprick of relief in her near to bursting heart. His heavy aura swallowed the pain slowly, relieving the pressure from critical.  He had kissed her, held her, and touched her. He had done it for her and she had taken like a greedy pig and she felt suddenly ashamed.  He was hurting too. She had hurt him, scared him, almost left him. The swelling started again but this time she would relieve the pressure of her heart by giving him the love that dwelled in the bottom. Her pale hand reached up, a singular action that signaled hope and she cupped his tear stained cheek, and smiled. She would not give into the grief; she would live, for him.

Her hand was soft, warm, inviting, everything that he could ask for. A simple touch that could tame him and sooth him.  He would yield to her hand, to her will, and requests but she rarely used her power, she rarely asked him for more than his presence. He followed the weak push of those slender digits upon his cheek.   He was swayed and bowled over with a feather’s touch as she rose above him. Her gaze held his own, and precious life  burned dimly in her dark pupils. He reached to fan the embers, to create a flame but she was already feeding the fire. Her touch drifting beneath his haori, tugging and exploring. He was kindling to her, allowing her to devour him. They would burn together, ache together, dance together, grieve together and love forever.

Kagome fed off of him, feeling sweet heat begin to stir her leaden limbs and ward off the cold sorrow of beckoning death. Her cheek rested on a damp piece of his chest where her tears had soaked through his clothing. She lapped at the salty presence in apology her frame shaking with tremors of fear and regret. He  returned her touch, softly coaxing her kimono open,  and drawing her close to lap as her chest, to  gently startle her, to tease her breast and  kiss deeply the wound over her heart.

The gruesome and sudden loss would always hound her, and chase her but she could run now, and hide from those vicious thoughts. Sesshoumaru would command those memories, and banish them should they stray too close once more. She closed her eyes, her lashes fluttering softly as she  breathed out slowly, her cool breath leaving a trail of scalding heat across  Sesshoumaru’s  chest. Slowly she pulled his haori open, her actions loosening the intricate tie about his waist, so that it fell apart with only a gentle tug. She breathed in, holding the air in her lungs because when she opened her eyes to his bared chest, she knew she’d be breathless.

He coaxed her gently, following her slow perusal as it left fierce trails of hungering want across his body. He bid away the demons with fluttering  kisses, and quieted the dark sounds of grief’s  beasts with his slow exploration.  He tugged her kimono, letting it fall off her slender shoulders and hang about her arms until she pulled them  free of the long sleeves. He pressed her close, skin to skin, and heart to heart, they melted into one another seeking nothing and everything from each other.

Her hand slid along his side, and she slipped through his fingers as he laid back. Her lips trembled over his stomach and his back went rigid as he felt his hakama shift and fall lower revealing the maroon stripes that coiled about his hips descending and disappearing beneath the precariously low waist of his hakama. He reached for her, feeling her downy soft hair weave through his hands.

Her cheeks blushed prettily and she turned her gaze towards the man, the youkai who had saved her. She felt her stomach blossom with a strange light airiness as she was caught in that heated golden gaze. Her tongue slipped out, tasting the maroon line, savoring her protector’s youkai nature. Feeling a sudden shy koi-ness she followed the line watching as heavy silver lashes fluttered open and shut and gold became framed in red.  She gave him a look, her soft blue eyes glowed with a heated fire, accepting, living, and consenting. She slipped his haori off with a soft smile.

She rose through the air, brought up with his lightning speed. His lips crashed down on hers, wanting and hungry yet restrained and controlled. He laid her down, and untied her Obi. The press of their two bodies was life, and heat. Neither could recall death’s existence because there was only the immortality of the moment, the here, the now, the world of him and her.

There was no need for poetic lines or dancing words for they were intent on drawing out this night, and their healing. This was their story and they would make it a book of great length and never ending detail.

His claws scored her skin leaving no mark, but scratching his presence into her mind.  She moaned through parched lips, feeling silken strands of silver flow over her chest, her stomach, her hips adding fiery ice to his sweetly scalding kisses. He lapped at the healing wound on her hip, and kissed her bruised knuckles, savoring her strength making the reminders of her fight, and family’s killer his. Every mark she possessed was his, not another’s.  Every curve, every muscle, every bruise and scar belonged to him; no other would claim these marks.

It was slow and burning as back and forth they explored each other. Sesshoumaru grazed his hand softly over her folds, watching her as every muscle in her body tensed then relaxed. She held a bright trust in her sparkling blue eyes and he was stunned and aroused simply by that trust in her gaze. A trust no other had held for him, a fearless, accepting trust.  He smoothed his hand over her folds, rubbing and caressing as she mewled in pleasure, parting her slender legs further as her desire pooled and moistened his hand. He was breathless before her benevolent beauty, her purity and passion that somehow mingled so effortlessly.

Her arms stretched out, she called for him without words and he moved into her embrace, her arms twined around his neck, pulling him to her lips. She sucked them greedily, and roved her tongue between the barrier of their lips to find his own tongue coaxing her, massaging hers then following hers into her mouth.  He moaned, pressing his arousal against her, asking with his need for her acceptance.  Their lips parted, each breathless, and she nodded.

The first moment of intrusion she tensed, and he stopped moving. His face hovering over hers,  their breath mingling. She squirmed inviting him in and he went slow, kissing away her fears. The pain was not as she had been told, his quick thrust, and crushing lips made the pain bearable, and undisturbing  as  he broke her last barrier.  They rode each other slowly, building themselves higher and higher. Their voices peaked, each loud and echoing in the world they had created for each other.

She swelled with love, with passion, with desire and he returned each feeling tenfold thrusting into her. They worshipped each other.  In a hazy daze they reached for the other, hanging on a moment longer to this connected presence.

Her voice, her words came back to her “Sesshoumaru!!” she cried her body trembling and shaking.  She was an earthquake and he fell into her tightening crevice, roaring his promise to her.  His youkai energy shot outwards bathing her in his light, and merging with her, as he found his release deep within her.

Sparks flew and the heavens exploded. His beastial red and poisonous green aura mingled in the sky, so that her sensual purples and holy pinks and the blue of the sky all danced and swirled in a rainbow tapestry.

She was his. He was hers.  She had a new family to live for. He had a family to die for.
