Prompt: Soft
Perhaps, he had gotten too soft over the years. That's what members of the youkai community thought when he took a miko as his mate and actually made compromises with her from time to time, especially when the hanyou's concerned. After all, he was her best friend. But he would show them all just how soft he truly was when he would officially appoint Inuyasha as Captain of the Guard and Beta of his pack. Oh yes, he would show them all.
Prompt: Trickle
Insanity must have trickled down from the mother to the son as Inuyasha broke his latest victim's mind with his inherited power. That was the price one paid when crossing the House of the West. The female had the nerve to approach Sesshomaru in front of his best friend and Lady of the West, Kagome.
This was what happened when many youkai tried to go after Izayoi and Inuyasha when he was a young pup. No one knew, except for the former Western Lord, that she was a mystic, though her powers drove her insane. This was the same for the hanyou, especially on his human night. Inuyasha left the female lying in a near comatose state. Her mind apparently reached the point of no return.
Prompt: Mist
Kagome hated this time of year as fog rolled in from the sea. It was damp and dreary. Suddenly, in the distance, she could make out a male figure in the mist. It seemed to be walking on the water's surface as it approached her. Her heart pounded when it was in front of her. The mist then cleared and there stood a tall handsome male with short silver hair, glowing golden eyes, maroon double stripes on each cheek. He looked down at her, cupped her face, and bent down to kiss her. Kagome was stunned at this. "Who are you?"
"I'm your fantasy made flesh." He wrapped his strong arms around her. "Come with me and I'll make all of your fantasies a reality." The mist rolled in once more, enveloping them both. When the mist cleared, they both disappeared as if they were never there in the first place.
Prompt: Drop
It was impossible. How did Shippou get the drop on Sesshomaru? He was a kitsune youkai, a young kit at that, yet he was able to pull one over the Lord of the West. Little did anyone know was that Shippou wasn't so little, nor was he as young as everyone thought. It was time to lift the ruse as he transformed in front of the entire pack. Before them was a stunning kitsune with long auburn hair and hypnotizing green eyes, a kitsune taiyoukai like Sesshomaru himself. When those eyes turned towards Rin, she couldn't help but blush. Yes, Shippou was a force to be reckoned with and Naraku had better beware.
Prompt: Fresh
Kagome looked on at the near comatose female with shock and awe. She couldn't believe that her best friend did this to her and was a little afraid of him. With that scene fresh in her mind, the Western Lady confronted Inuyasha about this. "Was this necessary, Inuyasha?"
"It had to be done. This wench will be an example to all other wenches who go after that ice prick and anyone else who crosses the two of you. I won't stand by and let my best friend get hurt over this. Or would you prefer to have piles of ash constantly swept up by Jaken?"
Kagome contemplated this and though it was cruel, it was effective. Sighing, she left Inuyasha to get rid of the female. A shiver ran up her spine as the hanyou turned human started to laugh. Luckily for her, Kagome did not see his violet eyes glow with his power, although she felt it start to rise. One would not want him as an enemy.
Prompt: Splash
It was the diving competition and Sesshomaru, the favorite to win the gold medal, was at the diving platform. He would attempt a very difficult dive, 3 1/2 twists into a double tuck. This has never been attempted successfully until now. Sesshomaru did the dive with no splash when he entered the water. He got out of the pool to perfect scores by every judge. He knew then and there he won the gold. Kagome stood up, cheering loudly as her tears splashed onto the floor. With this medal, he was the most decorated athlete in history.
Prompt: Rain
It had been several years since the defeat of Naraku and the disappearance of the Shikon Jewel and Kagome sat at the windowsill, staring outside as the rain fell. She wondered what happened back in the Feudal Era with the rest of the group. The miko truly missed them, especially the first one she fell in and out of love with. As the quest had progressed, she knew that there was no hope for a relationship beyond a friendship with Inuyasha, especially with him mourning Kikyo’s second death. She wondered if he moved on past her death and found someone to help him through his pain. The future miko hoped so. As she continued to stare outside, Kagome noticed a familiar male standing in the rain looking up at her with eyes of molten gold. No, it wasn’t possible. Youkai did not exist in her time. She was certain of that.
Kagome ran outside to get a closer look, hoping he was still there. She didn’t care if she got soaked; she had to make sure he wasn’t an illusion. “No, miko, I am not an illusion.” Tears started to fall and mix into her rain-soaked cheeks as she flew into his arms.
That’s it for the drabbles. And if you’re asking, yes, I do plan on extending some of them; some may end up oneshots or chapter stories. Who knows for sure? There are so many plunnies. I hope you enjoyed reading them. Later. ^_^
