Kagome sat in the waiting room with her mother and father, praying to every Kami she knew while she cried so hard that her whole body shook with sobs. She couldn't believe that her Sesshomaru, fearless, beautiful, loving Sesshomaru may never be able to hold her again. They won't be able to graduate together and start the family they always wanted.
Two doctors came out looking very sorrowful. "Are you Taisho Sesshomaru's family?" the oldest looking one asked.
Kagome closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I'm his girlfriend, his brother is out of town and his parents are dead..." she said still crying but was calmed down slightly so she could talk to the doctors.
"I'm sorry, he did not make it through surgery. His heart was stabbed with bits of metal that flew from the cars. We tried to get them out but they had already done their damage... I'm sorry Miss." the other said to Kagome sadly.
Kagome stared at the two in shock. Sesshomaru couldn't be dead, he was so strong and powerful. How could something as simple as a car crash kill him? Her big strong demon. Kagome's eyes watered up and she wailed crying for Sesshomaru. All the other occupants in the waiting area stared at the teenager with sympathy, but she didn't want their sympathy she wanted her Sesshomaru.
The whole car ride home was silent, Kagome cried in the back seat as her parents sat in the front not daring to talk, for they might upset their daughter even more.
Hitomi knew how much Sesshomaru loved Kagome, and how much she loved him in return. She had also seen Kagome's pregnancy test and knew this was going to be even harder on the girl. Her daughter was about to be a single mother, and it was only because the Kami's had taken the father's life. She prayed that Kagome would make it through without losing the child, for Hitomi knew that if Kagome lost the baby they would lose her.
As the days passed Kagome turned to hate her father, it was his fault that Sesshomaru left when he did. Her father over reacted when he found out that Kagome was pregnant and wouldn't listen to reason when they tried to tell him that Kagome and Sesshomaru were going to get married shortly after graduation. So he sent Sesshomaru away and told him never to come back, and he left so not to anger the man even more, promising to call in the morning. He wouldn't ever be able to do that now. There was days when Kagome wouldn't even look at her father, then there were days when she would hit him as hard as she could and scream at him telling him she hated him and it was his fault.
Kagome would sit in her bed and just remember the days her and Sesshomaru would spend together, the last time she ever saw his smile that she only ever got to see, was the day he died. Right before they had told her father about their baby they were sitting on a swing in Kagome's back yard.
Kagome had been trying to build up the courage to tell her boyfriend that she was pregnant. She had been hiding her scent and it was annoying him greatly. "Kagome, what's wrong? Why are you hiding your scent?"
Kagome took a deep breath and looked at him. "Do you ever... ever think of the future?" she asked him quietly.
Sesshomaru moved the hair from out of her eyes and nodded. "Everyday of my life." he said and kissed her temple gently. "Why do you ask?"
Kagome looked away from him and stared at the ground. "What do you see?" She asked him just as quietly, almost afraid of his answer.
Sesshomaru smiled softly and put an arm around her shoulder and rubbed it with his hand. "I see you." he said and kissed her lips lightly. "What do you see?"
Kagome dropped her spell that was covering her scent and smiled gently. "I'm pregnant Sessh..."
Sesshomaru smiled and kissed her again. "Now, I see you and our baby." he said with a slight chuckle. "Now love, what do you see?" he asked her but instead of answering him she jumped off the swing and giggled grabbing his hand and ran towards her house.
Kagome came back to reality when her mother came in and stared at Kagome. "You have school tomorrow, do you... want to go?" She asked her daughter hesitantly. She knew her husband wanted Kagome to go, but she wasn't going to make the girl. She just lost Sesshomaru only days before.
Kagome took a deep breath and wiped her tears away. "I'm going to go, Mom... I have to be strong for him." she said hoarsely and laid down to go to sleep in order to be able to get up for school in the morning.
Everyone in Kagome's class looked back as Kagome sat in her seat, all the girls knew that Kagome was pregnant and now that Sesshomaru was dead all they could do is send her more sympathetic looks.
Kagome stole a glance at the chair that was beside her and for a second saw Sesshomaru looking at the teacher very bored and muttering under his breath, but as soon as it came it went. The tears welded up in her eyes and Kagome grabbed her books and fled the classroom. She couldn't stand all of her and Sesshomaru's friends looking at her like that, she couldn't just sit there like she always had when HE was with her.
When Kagome ran through the door of her home she headed straight for the bathroom. She made it just in time to throw her stomach's contents into the toilet. She could feel her mother outside the door debating on coming in or not. "I'm fine..... I.... I..." she started to throw up again and felt her mother pull her hair back and rub her back gently. "Oh momma, what am I gonna do without him?" She asked her mother crying quietly.
Hitomi stared at her daughter helplessly. She didn't know what to tell the girl, at Kagome's age she didn't think she'd ever find a guy like Sesshomaru again. Hitomi even knew that there most likely wasn't someone like Sesshomaru out there, but she knew her daughter would find someone who would care for her and the child she was with.
When her mother didn't answer Kagome pulled away from her mother and ran to her car. She practically jumped into the car and drove for what felt like hours, but was really only a ten minute drive. When she finally got to her chosen destination she looked for the correct tombstone. After she got to the Taisho family's reserved spot she went weak in the knees at Sesshomaru's grave. "I saw you... I'm sorry Sesshomaru... I.... I love you..." she said crying softly as the rain started to fall. She smiled sadly, almost feeling him there with her telling her not to cry. "I saw you." she said one last time before kissing her hand and pressing it against the grave, then with a heavy heart left the grave yard to go home.

I do not own Inuyasha :( or the song this is based off of. It's sort of similar to the Music video but I changed it up a bit.
