She didn’t know why he showed her such kindness, but she was grateful. He looked at her, irritation in his eyes. Her ire rose. What was his problem? Were all the sons of Inu-no-taisho socially retarded? She whirled on him, and poked him with her slender little finger. “What‘s your problem!? You helped me, now it’s as if I did something wrong!” She gulped, realizing she was taking her life into her hands.
