A/N: I am not sure how this will turn out, it is just something that I thought was an amazing idea, and now I must suffer to infect you all. I don't know if there will be lemons, but if there are I will raise the rating to MA. Have fun and don't forget to review!!!

Kagome sat in her favorite café and stared at the screen of her laptop. She had made a habit of writing in her diary at least once a day since she was a little girl, and even though she now wrote in a digital diary, and led a hectic life, she continued her habit, even if it was only a single sentence to describe the day, with extended entries detailing the previous days she had been to tired or depressed to write on her days off.
Today was her day off and she loved the feel of routine that surrounded her. She loved this particular coffee shop, loved the fact that she knew most of the people around her, loved knowing that, here at least, she could relax and let the words take her where they wanted her to go. Whether they wanted her to reflect on a situation that made her uncomfortable or to think how she might better handle a satiation in the future, Kagome loved the time she was able to make for her diary as a chance to better her life and also as a time of reflection.
Her ritual of sitting with her laptop on the table, her scalding hot vanilla chi sitting at her left elbow, the barista's wiggling their way past the tables with a swish of their hips as they served their coffee. All this allowed the words to flow strait into her brain, down her arms and out her fingers. All was as usual, for a Wednesday morning.
So there should be no reason as to her inability to move.
Sitting with her fingers resting on her key board and her head looking intently at the screen, she was stopped mid word, her index finger in mid reach for the T button. She could not move, not blink, could hardly breath. And the first thought that had run through her head when she realized she would not be able to complete her word was "At least I didn't freeze while holding down the key, then I would have pages and pages of the letter T."
Being a paramedic could not have prepared her for the moment when her own body would betray her. Being one of the well trained paramedics who also possessed spiritual insight and abilities, she was now on the verge of panicking, thinking "What on earth could have ME so possessed that I can not function properly."
And if she had been able, Kagome would have whimpered in distress.

Sesshomaru sat in the café with his right leg crossed over his left, his body turned slightly to the left so as to not drag his news paper through his plate of baked confections.
As per the rules of his Wednesday morning routine, Sesshomaru was not allowed to read the obituaries, the business section, or anything related to a serious topic. His daughter, Rin, strictly prohibited anything sober in her presence, from the clothes she wore to what she allowed her father to read.
Usually, on the Wednesday mornings when she had her father all to herself, Rin began with the comic section, separating it out and allowing him to start with Calvin and Hobbes, as she scanned the rest of the paper, removing the stocks, sales reports, serious news and the obits, using scissors where necessary; then she allowed her father to read the rest (usually just the movie, home decorating and gardening sections) while she scanned for any serious news that he might NEED to know.
He sighed as he read about peach tree roots and how to prevent the fungus that could ruin a whole peach harvest, but he trudged on until the end then folded the thin sheets neatly and started in on his jellied, sprinkled and positively powdered breakfast.
This was a new place for them, Uracco's, a main street café with a sort of bohemian quality that he found not TOO objectionable. Every Wednesday Sesshomaru took Rin out to brunch, and once a month it had to be in a completely new section of the city. This would probably become one of her favorites, this quite little cubby, and he sighed as he thought about another breakfast like the one before him. He was already starting to develop a headache from the sugary sweetness of this confectioners' nightmare.
As Rin folded her own papers and started in on her own breakfast of spinach and ham pastry, he set about studying the make of the building as she studied the people. She was a people watcher, his Rin, and she never ceased to be amazed with the abstract abilities of other people.
"Dad?" She asked, her head cocked to the side as she studied something adjacent to their table. "Is that woman okay?"
Sesshomaru turned to see the woman Rin was asking of, and stilled.
No... It couldn't be...

Kagome was panicking silently, trapped in her own body. Never had she even heard about an illness that rendered the patient immobile while completely cognizant of the world around, frozen in mid- whatever! She racked her brain again, recalling the exact moment of her paralysis. The position of her body, the sound of her breathing, the beat of her heart? Was there anything out of the ordinary, any strangeness, pain, feelings of just plain un-normal-ness?
Nothing!!! Again and again she came up with nothing!!!
Okay, she thought. If it is not physiological, maybe it's environmental.
She studied her surroundings from her periphery (she had never noticed how much her peripherals could actually see until she could not move her eyes) and from the feelings around her, and when nothing came to her attention, besides the fact that her chi, which had radiated heat before and was now barely warm, she turned her attention to her memories of her environment at the time of onset.
Analyzing her memories as a frame by frame she went through every one of her senses. She had been in the middle of the word 'with,' reaching for the T, there had been a 'ring-a-ling' as the bell above the door announced a new presence. It had been a youkia and a hanyo, related by blood, by the feel of their auras' they were canines of some sort. Dog. Definitely dog.
The barista had been in mid greeting when the youkia had swept the room with his aura, searching for danger most likely, and that was when she had frozen, loosing track of the couple in her instant panic.
She was now straining to catch a glimpse of someone, anyone, she did not recognize.
THERE!!!
At the very edge of her vision, to her left, Kagome could just barely make out a patch of white hair. Instinctively she knew that that was the reason for all her troubles, there was something...
And distinctly she heard his voice, spoken slowly and quietly, but it was as though the world quieted itself to hear him speak, and it dripped from his lips like honey from the hive, viscous and sweet but with the sting of the bees growing steadily worse as the word, the name, reached completion.
As the name was said she was free for a single moment, her head snapped around and she met his wide golden eyes, and then it was as though she was born again, in her own mind. The pain and the infinite freedom and the knowing that flooded her sent her into a collapse, but she did not care.
She was free. In more ways than one.

"Kikyo?" He whispered slowly. Her face, it couldn't be! But... If... Wha...
Suddenly her head swung around, like a horse from the gate, then he was looking at her straight on, and knew looking into her eyes, that this was not the woman he had thought, he had been mistaken and... her eyes were so beautiful.
There was a scream that brought Sesshomaru to himself and he realized that he had just watched, looking strait into a woman's eyes as she collapsed to the ground. And now she was seizing.
Training carried him to her side before he even had conscious thought, his hands going beneath her head to stop her from cracking her skull open as she thrashed and hit him with her closed fists and spasming arms. Her body arcing like lightning from the ground.
He looked around the ring of onlookers, noting two or three people already on their cell phones, but he looked to the woman behind the register and pointed to her anyways.
"You, woman, dial 911 immediately." He watched as she did as he told her and then looked around again, assessing his surroundings...
He could feel her aura fluctuating as he tried not to restrict her thrashing yet keep her from hurting herself. She was a powerful miko and he was lucky that she had not yet lost control of her power to purify his very being.
"Okay, everyone!!! Listen to me. I am a paramedic. This girl is having a seizure and she needs space so her thrashing does not hurt you or herself, I need you all to leave the building immediately! Do NOT loiter at the front door, the ambulance needs to come through and the other paramedics need to be able to get in here. You need to go about your day and let us take care of this woman."
He was not the best of speakers when it came to reassuring a crowd, but it would have to do, he needed to pay attention to the aura that was steadily growing bigger and more violent right next to him.
"You heard the man!" Rin hollered into the gathered people as she made her way to him. "Get you gone! The ambulance needs the parking spaces in front of the café and they need a path to the injured onna. Go, go, go." With the last she clapped her hands and made shoeing motions to urge them along, and they went.
"Rin, I need you to walk at least two blocks from here and then you can find the next bus stop and catch a ride. At least two blocks. Remember." His eyes never left his charge, but the worry in his voice urged Rin to obey.
She went to their table and gathered her purse and her fathers book and paper and was out the door with barely a look behind her. She to had felt the aura fluctuating through the room, and though she worried for her father she knew he would take better care of himself if he were not worrying about her flesh as well.
