Midoriko and Kagome were sitting down watching television as Midoriko was drinking red wine and Kagome was drinking water. Midoriko glance over at Kagome and commented seriously, "I have something to tell you, neechan."
Kagome's grayish blue eyes were focused on her older sister as Midoriko continued with a calm and professional tone, "As of midnight tonight, the Shikon, Youkai, Kakera and Samiyobosu are in a competition to get the number one spot and to keep it for a certain amount of time or longer." Kagome's eyes widen in shock as Midoriko just smirked at the shocked face.
“And when you were going to tell about this?”
“Just now…” Midoriko’s smirk became bigger as she just listen to her little sister’s grumbling about her secretive ways.
~Taisho Household~
Clef was sitting on her bed in her room, writing lyrics in her notebook for the Shikon. Her radio was blasting Staind as her doggy ears perked up when she heard a knock from her door. Dark amber eyes were focused into playfully crimson eyes as Clef huffed indifferently at Hiten.
"How did you get pass Sesshomaru?" Clef asked with an inquiring eyebrow raise delicately. Hiten just laughed nervously at her while Clef just shook her head. Inuyasha entered the room when he heard commotion from her room. He glared at Hiten and commented, "Kakera, Shikon, Samiyobosu and Youkai are rivals for the number one spot when midnight rolls around."
Hiten and Clef smirked at each other as Hiten taunted playfully, "You're no match for my hard knock lyrics."
"And yet my soulful lyrics can kick your 'hard knock' lyrics any day of the week." Clef taunted back with her eyes glinting with hidden challenge.

Standing on the small stage of their studio were Sango, Ayame, Clef and Kagome. Ayame was singing first with her eyes closed as if she was focused into the song she was singing. Her voice was soft while they just listening to her singing without music before they would try to work with the music in the song.

"Wow..." was all Shippou said as Ayame rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment. The others smiled at her and Kagome stated with her fist in the air, "We are number one."
Sango and Clef just shook their heads at their leader and friend while Ayame recovered from her shyness with her singing.
“Sorry I like winning… and I like bragging rights over my brothers.” Clef commented in a calm tone as she looked over at her friends.
“We’ll be sure to get you those bragging rights.” Kagome teased as Clef just smiled and everyone else laugh in merriment.
~Samiyobosu~
“I can’t believe this shit, Naraku.” A white haired male growled in annoyance at Naraku who just huffed indifferently.
“Calm down Hakudoushi,” Naraku growled as the male known as Hakudoushi was fixing his guitar strings. Hakudoushi looked over at a male that looked like him but with black hair and asked, “What do you think, Akago?”
Akago, who was focused listening to his CD player, peered up from his calm seclusion and just nodded his head.
“I think he agrees with you, Onigumo.” Hakudoushi spatted out angrily. The things people do for money and power.
~Higarushi Shrine~
Standing in front of the shrine gates, Inu and Sesshomaru were arguing a bit as they climb the stairs. They were arguing over this collaboration that Inu wanted to do, but Sesshomaru and Miroku were against it due to the fact they wouldn’t be playing their instruments.
“Stop crying and get over it…” Inu spatted angrily at his eldest son who was growling underneath his breath at his father.
The sounds of an electronic keyboard echoed through the shrine grounds same with a synchizer as a voice was singing, “The way I love… the way I love you…” Inu and Sesshomaru paused as they got a glimpse of a red-head playing the keyboard and a dark brunette female working the synchizer as another female that looks actually like her was singing, “And everything you brought… everything you spent…. And now we’re standing here once again… I thought it was you and I… now all I have to say is why…”
“Kag-chan… it’s I’m standing here once again…” a familiar voice to both Inu and Sesshomaru stated as Clef appeared in view as she showed the one she nicknamed Kag-chan the notebook.
“Sorry about that, Clef.”
“Don’t worry about it, Kagome… the song is for women that been cheated on repeatedly over and over again and they love the selfish bastards… the video is different from what you’re thinking.”
Sesshomaru and Inu had a look of shock on their faces as a soft voice broke them from their thoughts, “She’s always inventive… she tells me that she takes ideas from what she sees… her inspiration.”
Both inu demons looked at the young woman that appeared behind them as Inu greeted, “Thank you for meeting us, Midoriko-san.”
“How may I help you, Taisho-sama?”
“I want the Youkai and Shikon to work together on a few songs.”
“I see… I have to discuss it with my members… and I was going to ask you to borrow Hiten and Sesshomaru for a video we’re shooting morrow. I finally forced your daughter to participate in a song she writes and she wanted this one and she wanted either Hiten or Hakudoushi from Samiyobosu, but I settle for Hiten… he’s more personable.”
“Which song?”
“She told me that this song talks about the perfect guy to her standards… I think she’s either speaking about…” Midoriko used her fingers to keep track of the names she was going to say, “Hiten… Hakudoushi… Shippou… Bankotsu or Akago… probably Hiten or Shippou mainly.”
“When?”
“Around ten in the morning.”
“I’ll talk with Hiten…”
“Already did, he’s up for it… all we need is for Sesshomaru to say yes or no.”
Sesshomaru looked annoyed that he was ignored throughout the whole conversation as he notice that he was finally included in conversation as he glared at both managers. “I’ll think about it.” Sesshomaru muttered in slight annoyance. Before his father could say anything, a soft sneer was spoken, “We don’t him… Midoriko. Akago would be happy to do it.” All three eyes spotted the females of the Shikon on the top of the stairs, looking at them. Tension begun to increase as siblings glared at each other as Kagome just sighed, “Besides… if he’s pouting over an instrument, we’ll find someone better.”
Sesshomaru growled as he barked out, “Don’t you dare doubt my abilities?”
“You doubted yourself,” Kagome smirked with hidden mirth in her eyes. How she loved making her male rival pissed at them.
“I’ll show you, Higarushi.”
“I take it that you will work with us.” Midoriko smiled with hidden merriment at Sesshomaru as he nodded towards Midoriko. He turned his heel as he walked down the shrine stairs.
“You guys love tormenting him.” Inu said as the girls just smirked, revealing their amusement.
“He’s easy to tease.” Kagome said as the females of Shikon left the area, leaving the two managers to themselves.

Akago was playing his guitar as he was writing the lyrics that begun to fill his head. His dark eyes were focused on the piece of paper in his notebook. Suddenly his eyes drifted towards an old picture when he and his older brother was younger while it appeared to be group photo. He let a smirk adorn his features as he notice the three small children in the center that appeared fighting on the ground.
Then his eyes drifted towards a picture when he was a sophmore in high school with his first girlfriend. Clef Taisho, now one of their band's rivals due to her association with Shikon. They broke up because they were drifting apart from each other and the fact that she and her friend Kagome walked in on him getting a blow job from Yura. He looked over at the lyrics that he had written down already and begun playing his guitar, testing the lyrics on his lips.
