Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha, this story is just the product of my twisted mind. All of Inuyasha goes to Rumiko Takahashi
She looks at the room, at the world she knows. It was a big room in soft blues it was beautiful but she wanted more to feel the air, to see the grass, look at the great sky. What she wanted was freedom. Not to be caged and broken off from the outside world. But he would never allow her outside. He said it was cruel and ugly outside. But she knew better, she knew that the world was beautiful. She could hear is footsteps coming up the stairs, him unlocking the door, and him finally stepping into the room.
"Kagome my sweet" He said in his dark evil voice, just hearing him made her want to shudder.
"Master" She said in her high, sing-song voice.
"I've come for my song before I leave for battle" He said his voice bitter and cold.
"Yes Master" She said chocking on the word master. That's how she was supposed to address him. He was her keeper, her warden, her master. She started to sing one of the saddest songs you ever heard.
Right now I feel like a bird
Caged without a key
Everyone comes to stare at me
With so much joy and rivalry
They din't know how I feel inside
Through my smile I cry
They don't know what they're doin' to me
Keeping me from flyin'
She was a caged bird that couldn't fly. She wanted to, oh how she wanted to. She closed her eyes and imagined the outside world with its blue blue sky, and green green grass, big bright sun. It was the world she wanted the world she yearned for.
That's why I say that
I know why the caged bird sings
Only joy comes from song
She's so rare and beautiful to thers
Why not just set her free
So she can
Fly, fly, fly
All she wanted was for a chance to fly, to get away form her master and his room that she was kept in. Sometimes it felt so so small, this room was her cage.
Spreadin her wings and her song
Let her
Fly, fly fly
For the whole world to see
She's like caged bird
Fly, fly
She hopped oneday, that he would let her fly so far away that she would never come back. And deep inside she knew that's why he wouldn't let her fly because if he did she would never come back.
Ooh just let her fly
Just let her fly
Just let her fly
Spread the wings
Spread the beauty
As soon as she finished her song, he got up and caressed her face. It took all her strength not to flinch.
"My sweet sweet Kagome as soon as I get back. I will make you mine" Those were the last words he said before he walked out the door. She hoped desperately that it would be the last time he ever came back.
A/N this is just the beginning I will continue soon. See if you can guess who her master is? Please review! The song is "Caged Bird" by Alicia Keys
